Our Vision
My wife and I started Flowing Water because we’ve both been touched by the benefits of hypnotherapy. We’re passionate about sharing the healing we’ve found with a world that is hurting so deeply, and often so silently. Our goal is nothing less than to change the world, albeit one soul at a time.
Joe’s Story
After years of medication and talk therapy with little or nothing more than survival to show for it, my life was at an all time low. I had a family and a career, but the black cloud that constantly followed me around threatened to take both from me. I could see no way out, and I felt utterly beyond help. Like many who secretly suffer in silence, I pretended everything was OK but I began to wonder whether the people in my life would be better off without me.
Just as I was beginning to give up on myself, my wife and my doctor intervened and insisted that I find some kind of help. Having tried conventional therapy, I felt a strong pull to seek out a hypnotherapist. I couldn’t explain why, but something in me believed this was my only hope. Little did I know then that this was my spirit calling me to my real purpose for being on earth.
As I found help from my therapists and mentors, I found the knots that had entangled my life began to untie themselves. Every step I took toward well-being was reinforced by synchronicities in my life (raises, new jobs, etc.). I went from complete hopelessness to understanding what it is to really be alive.
Through a lot of deep reflection it became clear to me that the reason I had to walk this path was so that I could help others like me to find their way through their own emotional/spiritual swamps. So I began the two year process of honing my natural counseling skills and achieving my certification in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy from the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, WA while continuing my career in the IT field.
Eventually the demands of the modern business/technology world became too much to keep up with and my health required me to resign from a high-level management position. When we are persistent in avoiding our life’s calling we are often given no other choice. This cataclysm proved to be the greatest gift life has given me as now I get to devote my time to laughing with those who laugh, weeping with those who weep, and healing with those who heal.
